2022: Year in Review

Adam SheltonUpdated 2 September 2026

It’s the time to look forward to the winter break and look back at everything we’ve accomplished this year; and what a year it’s been! In this edition of The Fish Tank, we’ll be diving through our biggest achievements of the year and sharing what’s in store for Squideo in 2023.

Squideo's 2022 year in review, laid out as a wheel of months. January, average turnaround cut from eight weeks to six; February, branded subtitles offered; March, a video for Amazon; April, improved 3D face animation; May, a video for Crohn's & Colitis UK; June, Sarah's goodbye party; July, NHS contracts booming; August, website upgrades and the Chip Spice Hull Trains competition; September, partnership with Spell With Me; October, a TikTok video hits 11.9k; November, the Spell with Me Spotify album; December, the scavenger hunt and social media awards

This month, we have also launched a brand-new quote form on our website to simplify our process and get customers the information they need faster. This cool new form features a brand new video and, for desktop users, has some cool animations. These upgrades are just a small part of a huge website overhaul that we have been working on for the past few months and aim to fully unveil to you in early 2023.

We really wish every single one of our clients and suppliers a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. Through a tough year we would like to thank you for your custom and look forward to seeing you again next year.

An extra shoutout to everyone who left a review for us on Trustpilot and Google Reviews. 2022 was the year we made it to 100 reviews on Trustpilot which is an achievement we're all really pleased with here at Squideo.

Using motion graphics, especially in a video, is an effective way to communicate information and capture a large proportion of modern internet users. In 2022, 82 per cent of all internet traffic were internet views. In this blog post, Squideo breaks down this popular format and explains how it can help your business stand out.

It might be fun to reflect on the year that’s been, but there’s still work to be done at Squideo HQ. This month, we’re proud to share our latest video for Spell With Me.

We started working with Spell With Me in September 2022, and we’ve been blown away at how quickly this YouTube channel has grown. With over two thousand subscribers, each video we’ve made for Spell With Me has had a loyal viewership. This month, we’ve produced four music videos to accompany the launch of Spell With Me’s first album.

We’ve taken a look back on our most popular Squideo Creates videos from this year and have produced a reel with our top contenders. From Lesley’s movie nostalgia hit to Callum’s day-in-the-life adventure, have a look back on the year to see what the Squid Squad were doing when they were meant to be working.
