Interactivity features
Four kinds of interaction, placed at the moments you choose and mixed however the video needs them.
A question, marked
Multiple choice, several answers, or true and false. Marked the moment they answer, with the reason why underneath.
A poll
Ask what they think rather than what they know. Recorded, never marked, and useful for the questions with no right answer.
An acknowledgement
One button: they confirm they have understood before the video carries on. The moment a policy is agreed to, timestamped.
A note to read
Something on screen at the point it matters, such as a rule, a reminder or a link, without cutting it into the video.
What interactive video changes
Watching becomes something you can evidence
Mark a question as required and the scrubber will not go past it. A completion stops meaning “the tab was open” and starts meaning “they answered”.
You find out which bit nobody understood
Every answer is in your reports, per person and per question. A question two thirds of people get wrong tells you exactly which forty seconds of the video need reworking.
You can change it whenever you like
Questions sit on top of the video, not inside it. Reword one, move it or add another in a minute, and the next person to watch sees the change.

Hosting each interactive video past your plan’s number is £19 a month, and every 20 minutes of one video counts as one. A shared video includes 5,000 plays a month under fair use, and nothing ever stops playing.
Common questions
Can we use videos we already have?
Yes, any video, whoever made it. Upload an MP4, MOV or WebM file of up to 5GB and add questions, polls and check ins to it yourself, whenever you like.
A question is a note against a moment in the video, not part of the file, so nothing is remade, edited or rendered again. A video we made for you years ago can become interactive this afternoon, and so can one made by anybody else.
Who writes the questions?
You can, whenever you like. In your account you add questions, polls and check ins to any video, change the wording, move where they land or take them out, and the next person to watch sees the change.
When we make the video for you, we write the questions from the script for free and you approve them before anyone sees them. They are yours to change afterwards, the same as ones you add yourself.
Can we put it on our own website?
Yes. Every interactive video can be shared by a link or put on your own website with a short piece of code we give you. Anyone can watch without signing in or creating an account.
If you need to know who answered, for consent or compliance, switch on a short form that asks for a name and email address before the video starts. Otherwise answers are anonymous, and you still see how people answered, roughly where and on what device.
Can people skip past the questions?
Not if you mark a question as required: the scrubber is held at it until it has been answered. Questions you leave optional can be skipped, which is the right setting for a poll or a note.
Where do the answers go?
Into your account: per question, per person, how many got each one right first time and how far people watched. In a course they sit alongside quiz results and completions. You can export the lot as a CSV.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. It is the same player your learners already use, on any phone, tablet or computer, and the questions are built for a thumb.
