Pathways Training
Website, online booking, card payments and a CMS
Pathways helps people get the training, test and card they need to work on a construction site, often in a single day. Their new site lets a learner find the right course, pick a date with places left and pay by card in a few minutes, while Kevin runs the whole business from his own admin area.
What we built
Live course dates
Every date shows how many places are left, and the homepage always leads with the next ones available.
Booking in four steps
Course, date, delegates, confirm. Book several people at once with a running total, then add the date to your calendar.
Card payments with Stripe
Places are held while the learner pays, and a booking is only confirmed once Stripe says the payment has gone through.
No double bookings
The last place on a course can only be sold once, even when two people go for it at the same moment.
A CMS built around the business
Courses, prices, venues, dates, bookings, enquiries, news and reviews, all managed from Pathways' own admin area.
Dates that look after themselves
Repeating patterns fill the calendar weeks ahead, and if a date moves, everyone booked on it is emailed automatically.
A course finder
Three quick questions point a new learner to the right card route, so nobody books the wrong course.
Online learning alongside
A learner login opens Pathways' own online academy, run on Squideo Smart Hosting, for revision and refresher courses.
Moved without losing the old links
We mapped over 80 addresses from the old WordPress site to their new homes, so existing links and search listings still land on the right page.

A warm, friendly website built from the nursery's own designs, with everything parents ask about in one place: rooms, fees, menus and answers to the usual questions. Staff share what the children have been up to from their own admin area.

Staff write posts with photos from their own admin area, so parents can see what has been happening each week.
Enquiries in one place
The contact form, with a quick option to book a tour, saves every enquiry to the staff area so none get lost.
Fees and menus parents can find
Clear fee tables, and the two week menu shown as a table on a computer and as day by day tabs on a phone.
A look around before visiting
A gallery of the rooms and the garden on the homepage, so parents can see the setting before they come in.
Answers before they ask
Questions answered from the nursery's own policies: hours, rooms, funding, meals, settling in and security.
Linked to their Google reviews
The homepage sends parents straight to the nursery's Google reviews, where families say it best.
Email on their own domain
Addresses on butterflies-nursery.com for the office, the director and the SENCo, set up so their emails reach inboxes rather than spam.

What is included in the free redesign?
A new design for your homepage, built as a working demo you can click around, using your own words, photos and branding. It costs nothing, and there is no obligation to go ahead.
If you would like us to build the rest of the site and launch it, we will tell you what that costs first, including the monthly fee for hosting and care.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on what it needs to do, so every project is quoted on its own. A website that tells people about your business and a booking system that takes card payments are very different jobs.
Hosting and care is a monthly fee, and we will always tell you what it is before you commit to anything.
Can we update the website ourselves?
Yes. Every site we build comes with an admin area for the things that change, such as news, photos, prices and dates. We show you how it works, and we are on hand if you get stuck.
We already have a website. Can you move it without losing our Google listings?
Yes. We map every address on your old site to its new home before the switch, so existing links and search listings still land on the right page. When we moved Pathways Training across, that meant over 80 addresses.
Do you host the website?
Yes. We host every site we build, keep it secure and up to date, and can look after your domain and your email too.
Can you add video to our website?
Of course. We have been making animated video for businesses since 2015, so a homepage film, an explainer or a set of training videos can be part of the same project.
